We exist to help kids cross the line of faith and follow Jesus in the great outdoors!
Pine Lake Camps officially opened in 1957, and since then, thousands of people have encountered Christ in this beautiful outdoor setting. The camp sits on 49 acres adjacent to Pine Lake State Park and offers summer camp experiences and weekend retreats for kids, students, and adults. Summer camp and weekend retreats are open to children and adults from any church (or no church!). Everyone is welcome at PLC!
Since 1960, Pine Lake Camps has been a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association.
Our Code of Values:
We are always about Jesus. PLC is fun, but the only reason we exist is to help as many kids as we can, cross the line of faith and follow Jesus in the great outdoors. We will always prioritize a relationship with Jesus over any other experience our campers have. John 17:3
We are united in grace. Our lives and camp are built on the unearned, undeserved, free grace that Jesus offers every life. We do not “should” on others; we persistently point to God’s grace given to us and extend it to others. Ephesians 2:8-10
We are people of honor. We freely give honor to all people regardless of gender, race, or status because of the calling and potential God has placed inside of each of us. Romans 12:10
We Think 3 (generations). We believe there is no age requirement for impacting the world. Therefore, we believe every child, teenager, and adult has the calling of God on their lives, and we empower them to live it out. 2 Timothy 1:5
We are open-handed. We give away our time, resources, and personal preferences to advance God’s Kingdom His way. John 12:24-25
We are disciples and disciple-makers. Therefore, each PLC team member is coached by a “discipler” and equipped to in turn disciple another. 2 Timothy 2:2; Matthew 28:19-20
We prioritize the local church. The Church is Jesus’ only plan for carrying His message to a lost and dying world. Therefore, we recognize that PLC is a supplemental ministry that always encourages people to return home to a body of believers in their local church. Matthew 16:18
The Good News
Jesus CAME to give us life.
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8
I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 1:19-20
Jesus said, “There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?” John 14:2
Jesus said, “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me...” Revelation 22:12
