An Incredible Summer!

We had an incredible summer at Pine Lake Camp! Over 500 campers, from 2nd grade through high school seniors attended our five youth camps. Praise the Lord as we celebrate the 41 campers who made significant spiritual decisions this summer!
Relationships were developed between staff and campers through a wide variety of activities all with the focus of communicating the life changing message of Jesus Christ! Here are some camper favorites from this summer: Playing Gaga Ball, a guided prayer walk, shooting balloons at the rifle range, singing in the chapel and making tie dye shirts with their counselors.

Youth Group gets Health Lodge Project Moving!

Bart Whitman and his youth group from Trinity Baptist in St. Paul spent the first week of August volunteering at Pine Lake Camp. They cleaned, dug holes, pulled weeds, demolished walls and had a great time doing it! It was a blessing to have them on our grounds. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the Health Lodge Renovation Project or something completely different, contact Roger Sutton and he will help align your skills with the needs of camp.
Health Lodge Renovation Goal Reached!
As of July 10th we have exceeded our $10,000 goal to renovate our Health Lodge! Praise God for the amazing gifts that have been received. We have had over 50 donors give from $10 to $5000 and we are truly blessed by the response to this need. The updated building will provide an improved area for our nursing staff to serve campers along with another modern living area for our rental groups. We will break ground this fall and expect to have it enclosed before this winter. Thank you for your prayer and support!
If you would like to volunteer your time to help with the remodeling, please contact Roger Sutton.
Memorial Day Family Retreat

We had a great time at Memorial Day Family Camp! 38 families joined us for a time of fellowship, worship and fun! Click here to check out the pictures.
Missed out on the fun? No need to worry, we still have cabins available for our 4th of July Family Camp, July 2-5. You can register online for youth or family camps by clicking the orange registration tab on the upper right side of your screen, or by giving us a call at 641 858 3284.
Volunteers Make ServTEAM a Success

We had a very productive week of work at Pine Lake Camps’ first ServTEAM retreat. Volunteers and staff worked together to accomplish a wide variety of tasks, here is a quick list: Meals were prepared for the group and cookie dough made for the summer, forms made and concrete poured, walls patched, painted, and stained, 24‘ poles put in the ground, water turned on, and grass cut. Thanks to those who gave their time this week! If you would like to see pictures of some of the worker’s this last week, click here and you will be directed to our Flickr account.
We still have plenty of projects to complete before we are ready for summer, if you would like to volunteer for 4 hrs or 4 days, follow this link to our contact page and we will set up a time to get you up to camp!
Health Lodge: A Great Start!
It's only been nine days since the first donor gave towards an improved Health Lodge, and we have raised nearly 30% of our final goal! Thanks to those who have committed both through prayer and giving as we look to build a Health Lodge to better serve our volunteer health care providers and the campers that they minister too. We still need $7095 to reach our goal, so please consider giving to this project. If you would like more information about this project or would like to volunteer your time at camp please click here to contact us.
Every Weekend at Pine Lake Camps
God works in mysterious ways. Read about Erik's positive experience at Pine Lake below.
"Dear Pine Lake Christian Camp,
My name is Erik, and I am a freshman at Knoxville High School. This year was my first year to be really involved in my church youth group. When my youth pastor told us about your event called Breakaway, I got really excited and went with my youth group on the weekend of fun. Breakaway was just what I needed that weekend. It helped me realize the world doesn’t revolve around drama. Since Breakaway, I have tried to get my life back on the right track, the one based on God.
I also went to Winter Retreat and again it took me out of my dramatic life and calmed me down. I wish every weekend could be spent at Pine Lake Christian Camp. I am really looking forward to going to summer camp and spending a whole week away from my phone, computer, and all the drama. Thank you for setting up such a camp to help people get out of their hectic lives and calm down, even if it is just for a weekend. I know summer camp will be just as fun as Winter Retreat and Breakaway as long as I am at Pine Lake.
Sincerely,
Erik"
